Roll-Fed Laser Marking Systems Work
Unwinding & Tension Control: The material roll unwinds using closed-loop tension systems to keep the web stable and prevent stretching.
Web Guiding: Ultrasonic or optical sensors align the moving web precisely before it reaches the processing zone.
Laser Marking & Cutting: UV or fiber lasers engrave, mark barcodes, kiss-cut, or fully cut shapes into materials like PET, PP, or specialty films.
Matrix Removal & Rewinding: Waste material is stripped away, and the finished labeled web rewinds neatly onto a new core.
Application Area This Roll to Roll Laser Marking and Cutting System is applicable to PET films, metalized polyester, metallized labels, PI high-temperature labels, automotive flexible nameplates, various engineering plastic labels, synthetic paper, paper labels, fabric/cloth tags, foam labels, and selfadhesive paper stocks.
Unlike inkjet printing or label printing, laser printing does not apply ink or adhesive to the surface. Instead, the laser permanently modifies the material by changing its surface color, oxidizing the surface, vaporizing a microscopic layer, or engraving the material itself.
